Technician Muhammad Farhan Yusof, 24, was on his way home after work when his motorcycle collided with an SMRT bus on the PIE on Monday evening.

His right leg was severed in the accident, said a witness.

THE faulty motor in the automatic gate had not been replaced, despite six months having passed. And that delay may have claimed a life.

Mr Ong Yue Hing, 55, died when the 10m by 3m gate, weighing around 900kg, fell on him.
