Girl's foot gets stuck at fitness corner

AN eight-year-old girl's foot got stuck under an exercise apparatus at a fitness corner in Pasir Ris on Thursday (Apil 26).

Singapore Civil Defence Force officers had to saw off one arm of the equipment so that the girl’s leg could be freed.

The girl, who is from Korea, had apparently been playing on the “mini-ski", sitting on the moveable footboard and using it as a swing. Her foot got wedged between the footboard and the ground, in a gap of about 5cm.

She had cuts to her leg and was treated at KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
