I've known Kong for about 20 years, says Indonesian who gave church $600,000

He made a $600,000 donation to City Harvest Church (CHC) and is the joint owner of the posh Sentosa Cove penthouse that CHC founder Kong Hee and family call home.
Indonesian businessman Wahju Hanafi's name cropped up in the Commissioner of Charities’ statement on Tuesday, after an inquiry into financial irregularities at CHC. Kong, 47, has been charged with being part of a conspiracy to commit criminal breach of trust by an agent.
Mr Wahju (above, left, with Kong Hee), 52, told The New Paper over the phone from Papua New Guinea yesterday that he has been friends with Kong for about 20 years.

The riot police should be on standby to arrest the CHC supporters if they behave badly outside the court premises, I feel shameful as a christian. Cannot understand why they behaved like hooligans if they believe their leaders are innocent, Singapore Court of Law are not kangaroo Court, we have a very transparent reliable system. CHC supporters, please do not embarrass all christians in Singapore, enough damages had been done, if you believe Pastor KH and others are really innocent and trust God, all of you go down on your kneels to pray, that's all. No need to act like that, bad testimony!

Wahju Hanafi, knowing someone for 20 over years does not mean that you know him deep under the skin.
When it comes to dollar and cents, long time acquaintance is only skin deep. Same applies to blood brothers and sisters when they fight over heritance.

Off the staff payroll they said. Wonder whether the church have more than one payroll. ... one official for their brainwashed congregation, and the other private and hidden.
