As Pure As Premier Pure

Not long ago, I chanced upon this attractive Job Ad on Classifieds- good salary+ commision, etc. I went for the interview only to realise they only give out a commision based salary. My recruiter was an incredibly persuasive and did an impeccable presentation of the company, benefits , incentives etc. I went back home immediately googled the company, guess what the company was supposedly known as "XXX" closed down and used another name to start new co., although feedback abt co. seem esp pessimistic, I decided to join co. just for the experience- that was I promised myself.

This is just the onset of my MLM nightmare:

On my 1st day of training, my manager told if I want to sell their products, I'hv to buy their products and prefably use them to gain product confidence. That shameless bitch followed me all the way to the bank and really pressurise me to buy their products- I'm telling when faced with that kind of intense pressure, even the most sceptical fella like myself succumbed into taking out all of my savings which my parents painstakingly saved for me for the last 17 years of my life. That was w/o my parents consent or whatsoever cos my manager told me not to tell my parents since they can be very sceptical.

I voiced out my reservations umpteen times and even walked out of the long queue in the bank to tell her I'll not touch the $$ in my bank. She reassured me it would be safe, guarantee can sell, and absolutely gave me no room to contemplate. So I took out thousand over dollars to buy their health products not that I genuinely want to but because I was "forced" to do so. Later she will convince you to open and use as many health products as possible for product confidence, fortunately I bought 1 kind of product only. The manager, with all dishonesty, lied to me about company's background, products specifications and usefulness 50/50, then her own background oso want to lie- only to be exposed by her own superior. Then she kept my goods and receipt for nearly a week- what exactly was her original intention- to safekeep? we'll see...

I questioned her about company's refund policy, she refused to divulge a damn thing, saying things like why dun you focus on making sales appt and dun be so pessimistic- confirm can sell one....Rararaa. So i ask Admin lol- this admin suay suay CEO sister- look honest but not honest kind I guess. She told me so long as I refund within goods in gd condition within one month- full refund guaranteed, I asked her not once but repeatedly on 3 diff occasions- I got the same ans. That was somes assurance for me. So I just stick my butt out for a company in sales appt- work tirelessly using my own resources- I pay my own astronomical phone bill, transport expenses plus other piling food and miscellaneous exp. Company does not pay u a single cent other than a meagre commision of 5%. If you think its worth the time and effort, think again you could be damn wrong- how much time do you think you will take to make 10 sales appt? 1 mth fastest? Assumin closing rate- 1/10 and you get a max commision of $300, wat do you earn exactly after deducting all ur expenses to make that 10 sales appt- the truth is nth- 0, an average part-time job can make me $1000 for the same amt of time spent. Besides you learn more doing an average part-time job. Guess wat I learn at that MLM co.- not to be exploited by some unscrupulous indivduals jus because you’re young, if you got a case- take necessary action to remind other ignorant individuals not to be perpetrators in this rubbish MLM scheme. Learn sales techniques @ MLM. I used that on ppl I recruit.

Well in the process of being made used by an MLM company to sell and recruit others to sell their products, I offended and disturbed many relatives and frens who are now clearly more hostile towards me than ever. Now guess wat you’re the bad guy while the company is the mastermind, you’re jus a pawn in their chess game, its either you make it to the end of the chessboard or sacrificed like dogs in the company’s pursuit of profits. Ridiculous isn’t it? Everytime I want to pull out, my manager use my recruitments and prospective customers in my network as baits to keep me from leaving and remind me how much time I would have wasted if I left jus liddat.

Finally I decided to quit after all my recruitments left and my entire network of customers exhausted. I brought goods down to refund, questioned once again about refund policy- again I was told 1 mth refund policy not to worry. But somehow they want me to wait another 3 days and I had to bring back products. 3 days to find the best possible way to bully the customer into giving up refund. And guess wat, my manager left me a memorable and unfeelin’ sms- you noe how I wasted my time on ur rubbish sales appt. That comment found its way thru my thick skull and will definitely stick in my brain for the rest of my life. That made me realise how unscrupulous and exploitative some adults can be. You shld know it too.

Now I want to talk about the refund policy they lied about.:

“Refund policy states that there’s only a cooling period of 7 days, sry not 1 mth, I’m afraid you might have misinterpreted my msg, but we’ll be more than willing to do a sales exchange”- 1 mth refund policy only for certain cases and up to management to decide.” I hate myself for doing a voice record of wat she previously claimed but hopefully the police can trace back CCTV footage. You think she really said it by mistake or jus coincidence? I am tellin you folks, dun be fooled, it was all mapped out nice and clear, to make sure you fall prey into their scams.

So another staff came up to me and told me I have 2 options-“1st stay and continue doing sales for company and sell all ur existing stock or 2nd keep the goods urself for ur personal use. Where’s the 3rd? With that being said, he threatened to call for police/ security intervention when I am asking nicely for my rights w/o affecting anyone. When faced a situation liddat. Pls dun panic, get the police for them, I guarantee you they’re more fearful than you or perhaps will do a refund immediately. Trust me folks dun be fooled by some adults who try to act smart. Btw lookin back is the refund policy for customers or distributors? Could they be bluffing you jus because you’re younger, dumber and more ignorant. Well you’re not but some think you are, so pls prove damn wrong. How can anybody sell thousand dollars worth of products in a week. Besides, they only brought up refund policy when you refund. This is part of their game plan. With regard to the 2 options that was offered, I beg to differ cos there’re so many other options you can exhaust to deal with SCAMS liddat- CASE/small claim tribunal, NEWPAPER, LIANHE WANBAO, got to the police or make a scene at their office and wait for police to come. For those who were placed in a similar situation, pls take action. Let urself be heard so other teenagers wun fall prey to such things. Have a heart do the right thing. Now I’m jus worried about other 17-year olds cos my manager is such a hypocrite telling me how supportive she'll be if I sue company in civil court.

Ask for company name when you go for job interviews- esp part time. Dun be fooled by fancy little ads with too gd to be true incentives. Well I'm not saying all MLM companies are flawed.
