The search for a Singaporean who went missing in Hawaii after being swept out to sea on Monday has been suspended.
Mr Phua Chuan Chin (above), 62 , was walking with three others along the rocky shoreline near Kalihiwai Point on the Hawaiian island of Kaua’i at about 11.30am when he and a 47-year-old man were swept into the ocean by a huge wave.
The other man made it back to shore and was airlifted out of the area, Hawaiian police said.
The US Coast Guard said in a release yesterday that they called off the search at about 5pm on Tuesday, pending further developments.
During the search, US authorities covered an area of more than 1,900 sq km using aircraft, vessels and shore personnel, it added.

amno1sg, you are too stupid
amno1sg, you are too stupid even to know who to address your reply. No,too bad for you that's not my dad or any relative of mine. I don't need to gloat over someone's misfortune or curse anyone to get a high. You are just a pitiful and pathetic little worm. Society will be better off without you. Too bad you can't crawl back into your mom's womb. You are such a disgrace to your family, an embarassment to your dad and mom. Won't waste anymore time on you.
