A survey of 1,000 Singaporeans published last week gave a fascinating insight into the nation's mobile phone habits.

For example, Singaporeans spend more than 100 minutes on their mobile phones, but most of the time is not spent making calls, or sending text messages.

It’s spent surfing the Internet, playing games, or accessing social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.

So can our wired generation survive without access to a mobile phone or the Internet?

We send a reporter into the techno void for a day to test her resolve, with more than amusing results.
