When Singapore actor Aaron Aziz won Most Popular Artiste at a Malaysia awards show in April, Malaysian actor Zed Zaidi slammed the decision by saying he would be prouder if a local artiste had won.
In a sarcastic post on his Twitter page, Zed reportedly thanked the nation for encouraging foreign artistes to “destroy” the industry.
But Aaron, 36, is unaffected by the remark and feels it's justified to put local artistes first, adding that he has never faced animosity since he moved to Malaysia seven years ago.
