HE SCORED three As and two Bs for his A levels.

But Jonathon Teo Zhi Wei will not be able to collect, let alone bask in the success of his results.

The 18-year-old teenager from Anglo-Chinese Junior College collapsed unexpectedly while running at his condominium’s gym on Tuesday night, just three days before his results were out.

Alerted by the security guard at 8.15pm that night, his father, who wanted to be known only as Mr Teo, 47, rushed down to the gym. He found Jonathon unconscious on the floor.

The teenager was whisked away in an ambulance to the National University Hospital. But the Teos received bad news just three hours later, at 11.24pm. Jonathon, who was gearing up for the army -- he was to have enlisted on March 8 -- was gone.

Too many have been laid to rest unexpectedly and toooooo soon.
