All-out search & rescue for NSF missing in Brunei

August 14, 2012 - 2:09am

By:

Five minutes after setting off at 7.55am, his buddy in the front assault boat realised that Lance-Corporal (Lance Cpl) Muhammad Fahrurrazi Salim, 20, who was in the last boat, wasn’t there.

The two were part of a convoy of four boats providing safety coverage for the water crossing of a jungle training exercise in Brunei on Sunday.

Now the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) is sparing no effort to search for the full-time national serviceman (NSF) missing in the Temburong training area.

Three Republic of Singapore Air Force Super Puma helicopters, 13 boats, 16 naval divers and more than 250 troops from both the SAF and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces are involved in the search.
