Apps to send feedback to the authorities

More people are downloading free iPhone apps launched by the Government to let the public provide instant feedback, such as the iConnect@AMK app launched by the Ang Mo Kio town council.

One of them was Miss Oh Siok Fen, 23, an undergraduate. The Ang Mo Kio resident used the app to tell her town council about styrofoam boxes that could have allowed mosquitoes to breed.

The boxes were gone the next day. "I was pleasantly surprised," said Miss Oh.
