Aleksandar Duric grabbed a brace as Singapore beat Hong Kong 2-0 at the Jurong West Stadium last night to end their eight-match winless streak.

Duric, 42, who scored in the 7th and 21st minutes, put in a Man-of-the-Match performance with his tireless running and goalscoring threat.

Midfielder Qiu Li, operating on the left flank, also had a good game as he constantly ran at the Hong Kong defenders and created chances for his teammates.

Lions coach Raddy Avramovic said he was happy with the performance and the result, but insisted his team can still improve before November's Suzuki Cup.
