The arrest of the “Sticker Lady” has shaken up the local arts community, so much so that they called for a meeting yesterday evening.
During the meeting at The White House at Emily Hill, about 80 people discussed issues raised by the arrest, such as the rights of artists and the limits of artistic thought.
The participants had varying opinions. Some felt art should be defended because artists should have a different status from others.
Others felt the acts of Miss Samantha Lo, suspected to have been behind some stickers and spray-painted words on roads, could have been dangerous; therefore, she should face the consequences.
