Awesome Azzurri overcome the odds

In their stunning 2-1 victory over Germany this morning (Singapore time), Italy delivered a message loud and clear.

If adversity tests the will of men, then Italy are among the best of them.

This was a superb demonstration of mind over body, a clinical triumph of stout defiance over supposed superiority.

Despite going into Euro 2012 with a mountain of problems, the Azzurri overcame all odds to rightfully seal their place in the final against Spain on Monday morning (Singapore time).
