The police arrested three men, aged between 41 and 55, early this morning for their suspected involvement in a series of theft of jewellery from the baggage of departing passengers at the Budget Terminal in Changi Airport.
The police conducted ground enquiries and investigations in a bid to narrow down the suspects in the case.
The officers’ efforts finally paid off when they managed to establish the identities of the suspects, all baggage handlers, who were subsequently arrested in an operation mounted by the Airport Police early this morning. An assortment of jewellery, believed to be stolen items, have also been recovered and seized as case exhibits.
The three suspects were charged in court today.
