Banned from Singapore, but he returns to steal from jewellery shops

THE FILIPINO men stole some $60,000 worth of jewellery in just two heists.

While two of them distracted the sales assistants at the jewellery shop, one would quickly slip some valuables into his pocket and leave.

Yesterday, Leabres Porfirio Leabres, 53, who had been banned from re-entering Singapore in 2003, and his two accomplices, were each convicted on two charges of theft-in-dwelling.
