Beat up by cyclist who slammed into him

HIT in the back by a cyclist going fast along a footpath, the least Mr Chan Hong Liang expected was an apology.

But to his horror, the cyclist turned on the 56-year-old and beat him up so badly that he needed surgery for a fractured arm.

Mr Chan said that he shouted angrily at the cyclist "to stay off the pedestrian walkway".

Without a word, the man got off his bicycle, came towards Mr Chan and swung a fist at him.
