MR Low Thia Khiang's big gamble has paid off.

Worker's Party has won Aljunied GRC - the first GRC to be won by any opposition party.

On the other side, the incumbent People's Action Party's (PAP) big gamble with three ministers - Mr George Yeo (Foreign Affairs Minister), Mr Zainul Abidin Rasheed (Senior Minister of State) and Ms Lim Hwee Hua, Second Minister for Transport and Finance - are now out of office.

We can all be relieved that the PAP government has returned back to power although with its share of the popular vote down to around 60 percent. At least, we can be rest-assured that we will continue with the stability, security and growth that Singapore has had all these decades!

It is sincerely hoped that the PAP will do some serious soul-searching. I trust the PAP will never ever do the unbelievable blunder of hoisting candidates like Tin Pei Ling while discussing (at least internally) as to why it can’t attract popular-premium talent like HDB resident and commoner Nicole Seah.

An analysis of the voting patters and percentages makes it very clear that there will be only two strong opposition parties by the new GE, Viz., Workers' Party (popular among the older generation and traditional folks) and Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) which is increasingly very popular among the educated and net savvy youth. The National Solidarity Party (NSP) lead by Nicole Seah, is probably going to be a big winner in the next GE, thanks to their seriousness and popularity among the low income ‘real’ Singaporeans.

With five of the 87 elected seats going to the opposition for the first time ever, sentiments have shifted towards the Workers' Party and Singapore Democratic Party. Why?

All Singaporeans of different strata and groups have been extremely concerned with the raising prices of everything that directly affects daily life. From expensive utility bills to crowded public transport (especially MRT), to ERPs to inflated real-estate prices to GST, the common man and impatient youth have been getting disappointed, with the insensitiveness of the powers that be. What’s more the huge influx of foreigners, most noticeably from the Mainland, especially in the lowest paid jobs, has been extremely tangible in every aspect touching the daily routine of millions.

Here is an example, which is similar to what almost everyone else experiences daily, across the island in malls, department stores, hawker centers, public buses and the entire service industry.

The neighborhood S7 coffee-shop has had young girls from China servicing customers in the cash counter and delivery dept, for over a year now. They are rotated every year and regrettably, none of them speak English to anyone, including Malaya’s or Tamilian’s. What is worse is that they are not only rude but don’t even have to courtesy to say thank you, even when questioned! Sadly, some old aunties and retired uncles work as cleaners in the same shop!

If you Support PAP & for Singapore Good, Please don't think about scrapping GRC system or absorb George Yeo Aljunied PAP team into the Civil Service.

PAP/Singapore need to swallow the bitter pill or oppositions will use this PRECEDENT to vote OUT any capable PAP candidate.

Without GRC, we won't have leadership renewal. GRC give amateur leader a chance to be trained by senior leader. Furthermore, you need Co-operative Group work to produce GOOD result.

From election result, our ex-PM GCT receive 56.65% Votes only.

Many Voters want ex-PM LKY to retire but they forget LKY can guide any PM back to track if he go off course.

LKY expected to lose Aljunied. Aljunied PAP team shall have Relaxed if Ground is so Unfavourable.
