Chelsea begin their defence of the Champions League tomorrow morning (Singapore time) and they’ll be doing it the hard way, staring down the Italian champions Juventus at Stamford Bridge.

After the humiliation of enforced relegation and a period away from Europe’s top table, the Old Lady have had a makeover and have returned to the competition. They will be a serious threat to Chelsea’s ambitions.

Juventus certainly have it within them to win at Stamford Bridge. One of four teams at the top of Serie A with a 100 per cent record, they rode out another storm of controversy this summer to stake their claim for yet another title.
With goals coming from tiny striker Sebastian Giovinco and Mirko Vucinic, (both far left) the Old Lady are in fine fettle.

Chelsea should be wary.

Di Matteo, more than anyone.
