A rogue boar sparked off a multi-agency hunt after it attacked a boy in Bishan park yesterday.
Personnel from NParks, Wildlife Reserves Singapore and the police cordoned off the area and beat the bushes with sticks to try to flush the animal out.
The boar was finally shot with a dart gun and the carcass was taken away in a WRS van.
The boy, who had been sent flying after the boar charged into him in his rear, was not seriously hurt.
A patrolling Cisco guard, who had first spotted the animal, was also slightly injured by the boar.
