The word murder was on the lips of the passers-by gathered at Kitchener Link on Wednesday afternoon (June 13).

A worker who was removing rubbish on a small field opposite City Square Mall had reportedly discovered a gunny sack with bones inside.

Police officers were seen at the field, which was surrounded by blue-and-white police tape.

But the bones turned out to be those of an animal, believed to be a dog.

Someone or more than one, are fond of dog meat soup ???

In this part of the world, we don't normally treat dog as a consumable item.

This is not true with some other countries.

I read in the news many moons ago, that before the Seoul Olympics, the authorities requested the dog meat stalls to either stop selling dog meats or move away from the main cities.

Some kiwi told me this story:

An African who visited NZ told his kiwi host who brought him to a Hotdog joint that, "From where we come from, we dont eat that part of the dog."

Whether that's relevant to the news story or not is, of course another story.
