Bricks fall off lorry at traffic stop

Madam Susan Song, 44, a banker, was on her way back to the office when bricks from the lorry next to her fell onto her car.

The rear windows of her Honda Civic were broken and shattered glass covered her backseat in the accident at Bendemeer Road on Wednesday morning.

The incident attracted the attention of Madam Ang Giok Chiew, 51, a hairdresser who has a salon adjacent to the accident site.

She said: “After the car driver had moved her vehicle to the front of the lorry, she got out and helped direct traffic onto the next lane.”
