After taxi driver Gui Hwee Meng, 58, was attacked around 2am last Wednesday, allegedly by a Caucasian passenger, he was so dazed that he lost his bearings.

Unable to drive for help, he used his walkie-talkie to contact fellow cabbies to help him.

One of them contacted his company to trace his location through the Global Positioning System (GPS) device in his taxi while others went there to help him before the arrival of the police and an ambulance, which took him to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

The police said a 30-year-old man is helping in investigations.
