Four South Americans were arrested on Monday night allegedly while celebrating the theft of $22,000 worth of jewels at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) the day before.
The loot, mostly strands of white, yellow and grey pearls, belonged to two Japanese businessmen who attended the Singapore International Jewellery Show last week.
One of the suspects is a Peruvian man and the other three are Colombians. They are expected to be charged in court on Wednesday.
