Christmas season is study time for duo

The Singapore Table Tennis Association and Republic Polytechnic have worked out a plan to help student-paddlers Isabelle Li and Pang Xue Jie catch up on their studies, which had been affected by their training and competition this year.

The duo will attend intensive make-up lessons over the next two months – Isabelle, 18, is slated to complete two modules over the period with lessons five days a week, while Xue Jie, 19, will complete one module with a three-day week schedule.

Lessons for both will run from 9am to 6pm and cost $16,739, which will be borne by the STTA.
