Cosplayers, transform!

They put in a lot of effort so that they can take on the appearance of their favourite anime characters.

And at Cosfest, Singapore’s largest cosplay convention, held at Downtown East yesterday, cosplayers turned out in force to see and be seen.

Students Wee Hui Ning, 18, and Er Xue Hui, 17, who dressed up as characters Ciel and Haine, say they were drawn to the convention to meet other cosplayers.

When The New Paper on Sunday visited the event, the area had been transformed into a hive of activity with brilliant frocks, outlandish costumes and even a realistic-looking robot.

The two-day festival, which ends at 6pm today, is expected to draw about 10,000 people.
