
When Mrs Dion Tan, 36, came down with a 39-degree fever on Thursday, her husband was worried, but thought that a trip to the doctor for some medication would cure her.
Three days later, Mr Raymond Tan, also 36, woke up in the morning to find his wife's stiff and cold body next to him in bed.
His desperate attempts at resuscitating the mother of his two young children were in vain.
And he regrets taking cough medicine that night that made him drowsy.
"I (wonder) if I slept through her cries for help," he says now.
