At a closed-door discussion yesterday on civility in cyberspace, the Media Development Authority’s chief sat shoulder to shoulder with the editors of socio-political websites TR Emeritus and The Online Citizen.
The three were among six speakers at the session organised by the Institute of Policy Studies to discuss whether there is a need for an Internet code of conduct.
It comes just three days after Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts Yaacob Ibrahim’s call on the Internet community to create a code of conduct for responsible online behaviour, among other things, in order to achieve the goal of a more balanced and responsible Internet.
