A SINGAPOREAN man's application for divorce was dismissed as his reasons for filing it were deemed too trivial.

The 31-year-old accounts executive had failed to prove that he had suffered exceptional hardship required to neuter marriages that haven't hit the three-year mark.

The man claimed that things like being treated as a personal driver, eating food he hated and doing household chores alone among others drove him to depression.

However, District Judge Shobha G. Nair dismissed his case, saying that "some of his concerns bordered on trivial".
