Doctor could be jailed again for not paying ex-wife

He has been to jail five times in the past seven years for failing to pay maintenance to his ex-wife.

Dr Andrew Chee Weng Kheong, 56, a locum general practitioner, may be thrown into prison for a sixth time.

And his ex-wife's lawyer has urged the court to keep him there till he coughs up the $136,000 maintenance arrears he owes Madam Elizabeth Lim Choo Suan, 50, a homemaker.

Yesterday was the fourth and final day of the hearing which began last September.
