A dog's life says a lot about its owner

Pet groomer and trainer Owen Sim has seen his fair share of customers who go to great lengths to pamper their pets.

Mr Sim and his 42-year-old wife, Ivy, own Best Friends, a shop located on Changi Road which provides grooming and training services to pets, usually dogs.

Some owners dress their pooches in Louis Vuitton gear and carry them around in padded prams; others pay for "dog spa" sessions.

Then there are those who treat their pets shabbily, like the customer who left an english cocker spaniel with them to groom but never returned to collect the dog.

Mr Sim says that as a dog groomer, he can see, to an extent, the true characters of the pet owners.
