The recent episodes of rain and flash floods may have played havoc with some businesses in Orchard Road.

But it has also brought potential business to at least one company.

Worried building owners are calling Parafoil Design and Engineering, the company behind the $200,000 pop-up flood barrier fronting Liat Towers beside Wheelock Place.

The New Paper understands that at least five groups overseeing buildings along Tanglin and Orchard Roads have made enquiries with the company.
