On April 29, The New Paper alerted the Elections Department that it had upload scanned forms containing the personal information of several candidates contesting in this year's elections.

At about 3pm on the same day, the website with all the forms was taken down.

The forms included the NRIC number of Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan, and the NRIC and handphone numbers of Aljunied candidate Ong Ye Kung from the People's Action Party (PAP). The handphone numbers of opposition candidates such as the Singapore Democratic Party's (SDP) Vincent Wijeysingha and Dr James Gomez were also made public.

The page has since been restored, and the edited forms uploaded, with the NRIC and all handphone numbers removed.
