Former national footballer Nasir Jalil died in a Terengganu hospital yesterday, aged 55.

The forward, who was affectionately nicknamed "Crazy Horse" by the Singapore faithful for his all-action displays and non-stop running, finally succumbed to a brain tumour at 4pm yesterday.

He had been suffering from the illness since 2004.
