Expect more last-minute deals for football TV rights

In an exclusive box seat interview, SingTel's managing director of TV, Goh Seow Eng says that football fans and viewers can expect more last-minute deals in clinching broadcast rights for the Uefa Champions League and English Premier League.

This year's broadcast of the Uefa Champions League by SingTel's mio TV were only obtained at the last minute. Eng cited the sky-high costs of obtaining the rights as the main reason why negotiations tend to go down to the wire.
