Families and photo enthusiasts find spots around Marina Bay to enjoy the NDP fireworks
Mrs Rachael Seah-Yong and her family of four opted to watch the National Day fireworks spectacle from the fringe areas of the Marina Bay instead of vying for a ticket to the parade yesterday.
She organised a picnic with home-cooked fried rice and made an enjoyable evening of it, she said.
“Even though I’m not at the parade, we’re true-blue Singaporeans and it’s a special day for us!” said the 40-year-old housewife.
She was part of the crowd of about 8,000 at the Marina Barrage.
Over at the Bay East Garden of the Gardens by the Bay, families set up portable barbeque pits while photographers gathered nearby, waiting for the fireworks to start.
