FOR ALMOST six hours yesterday, newly-appointed S-League deputy CEO Johan Gouttefangeas did not leave his office at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
When members of the media lurked at his window, he shut his blinds and continued with phone calls and paperwork at his desk. Was he hiding from public view?
The New Paper had earlier reported that Gouttefangeas' two businesses in his native France had gone bankrupt, a fact he failed to declare to the Football Association of Singapore's (FAS) interviewing panel upon being hired.
FAS duly launched an investigation thereafter and president Zainudin Nordin said on Thursday that a review of the situation had been completed and an announcement will be made yesterday.
But as of now, it appears the jury remains hung.
In a statement released yesterday evening, FAS said it had completed its investigation into the allegations against Gouttefangeas, but had not made a decision on his position as S-League deputy CEO.
