Miss Sabrina Wah (above) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, in 2003.

She was 13 then and had to stop school to receive treatment for her condition.

She was then dealt a further blow when her left leg had to be amputated.

But nine years on, her never-say-die spirit has triumphed.

The 22-year-old graduated from Singapore Polytechnic’s Singapore Maritime Academy last month and was awarded the SMA-SMTC – MaritimeONE Scholarship to pursue a degree in maritime business and maritime law at Plymouth University in the UK come September.
