ANOTHER barren outing, another night to forget.

It sure isn't easy being Andy Carroll after turning in another poor performance on Tuesday as Liverpool were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Manchester City.

The critics are growing in numbers by the minute. But it's easy to forget how young he is – the big man turned 23 yesterday.

Liverpool must not give up on him, even when the statistics point the other way.
