Glass panel shatters on MRT train

An elderly couple got a fright yesterday when the glass panel they were sitting next to on a MRT train suddenly shattered.

A man from a neighbouring carriage who snapped a picture of the resulting scene said that there was no one leaning against the panel when it broke.

The incident happened after the train pulled into Admiralty MRT station.

An SMRT spokesman said that no passenger was injured and that it is investigating the cause.
