When the final whistle blew after extra-time, the score was tied 1-1, and both teams knew what was coming next.

It was the National Schools C Division football final at Millennia Institute, and both Hong Kah Secondary School and Tanjong Katong Secondary School braced themselves for a nervy penalty shoot-out.

But, fortunately for Hong Kah, they had their goalkeeper Kenji Syed Rusydi to thank, as he saved two penalties for Hong Kah to win the shoot-out 4-2.

And Kenji, fresh from the Lion City Cup tournament, was the key man, according to the teachers from both sides.
