Government received 100,000 complaints on noise last year

Noisy neighbours have been causing sleepless nights for some residents across the island.

Two residents spoke to The New Paper about inconsiderate youngsters who only come out to play in the wee hours.

One reader who lives in Ang Mo Kio Central complained about five to six young boys who run around and shout from midnight to 4.30am at Block 720.

Another reader said that a group of youngsters have been making a nuisance of themselves near the void deck of Block 524 Woodlands Drive 14 since January (above).

Last Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean said that the police and other government agencies received over 100,000 complaints about noise last year.
