HE RECEIVED an early birthday present yesterday when he won a Samsung 46” 3-D LED SmartTV for playing The New Paper’s Bingo.

Mr Abdullah Abu Bakar, a protection officer with Cisco who will be celebrating his 53rd birthday next Tuesday, said: “I’m feel it’ll be a lucky birthday. I was not really expecting to win.

“But the numbers came out right and I guess it’s a good Hari Raya Puasa gift also.I had only two cards and I won, so I’m definitely going to buy more and try to win again.”

TNP’s other loyal readers hoping to be just as lucky still have many chances to win big.

And to satisfy the huge demand, a bonus Bingo card is attached to the front page of today’s TNP. This is in addition to the usual Monday cards.

On top of that, a bonus $1,000 was added to the cash prize at the start of the week, which has now snowballed to $5,000.

Readers will also have an additional Samsung 46” 3-D LED SmartTV and Xbox 4GB Kinect bundle to win this week.

To play, readers need to get a Bingo card, like the one which is attached to the front page today.

Each copy will have one card with a unique sequence of numbers, and the card will be valid for that week only.

The bonus Bingo card found attached to today’s front page will be valid until Sunday.

From Tuesday to Sunday each week, 10 random numbers from one to 99 will appear in the paper, totalling 60 numbers. If any of the numbers from the same week appear on your card, mark it down.

A vertical column (from top to bottom) of matching numbers entitles you to the prize shown on top of that column. Only a vertical column of five numbers entitles you to a prize.

Prizes must be claimed by 9pm on the same day and can be picked up at 82 Genting Lane, Level 2, Media Centre (Circulation Department).

If a cash prize is not claimed for the day, it will snowball to the next. For this week, it is now $5,000.

The contest is TNP’s way of thanking and rewarding loyal readers. Readers can buy as many copies of the paper and get as many cards as they wish.
