Tony, an undergrad at a local university, moonlights as a male stripper, earning from $350 to $2,000 for a night's work.
His sideline has helped to fund his university fees, his sister's tuition and also help with his family's household bills. And until his maternal grandmother died of lung cancer in November last year, Tony paid for her treatment with money earned from stripping.
Nevertheless, the 23-year-old insists that his life “is no sob story” because he “just took the easier route to earning money”.
