A MAN who called for an assassination during 2010's National Day Parade has been sacked from his job.

Gary Yue Mun Yew, who was the assistant principle engineer with weapon manufacturer ST Kinetics, allegedly posted a video clip of Egyptian president Anwar Sadat's assassination on the Facebook fan page of socio-political website Temasek Review on Aug 9 last year.

He then called for the act to be re-enacted at the parade.

Yue was charged on Monday with one charge of inciting violence.
