Help available for those unable to work

If you are a low-income worker, your monthly pay is likely to increase by $50, thanks to the Government's acceptance of the National Wages Council proposal for the pay increase.

But what about people who don't work, such as Mr Lim Sze Peng, 52? He has not worked since he suffered a stroke 12 years ago. Even today, he has only limited use of his limbs and needs help with daily activities like getting out of bed and eating.

Two Members of Parliament told The New Paper that there are many resources available for such people.
