Her death is my fault

She was with her boyfriend and his parents, visiting his relatives in Kluang, Johor, over the National Day weekend in 2010.

But 19-year-old Tan Xiu Li – better known to her friends as Cindy – never made it home.

Her boyfriend, Mr Loh Moon Kian, 20, lost control of the car they were in and Miss Tan died as a result.

Mr Loh said: “Cindy’s parents did not blame me, but in any accident, the driver should still bear the responsibility.” He is still struggling to get over his grief.
