TNP ILLUSATRATION: Kelvin Chan
TWO Nepalese men went to the rescue of a man who was clinging to an 11th-storey ledge of their Whampoa block at 1.30am on Tuesday.
Administrative director Anand Khadka, 36, and his friend, Mr Sunil Shrestha, 37, had heard shouts and ran out of their 10th-storey flat to see a pair of legs dangling from the ledge.
The man, who was wearing just a pair of blue jeans, was shouting in Mandarin, which they did not understand. So they acted on instinct – dashing forward to grab his legs and holding on for several minutes while wondering how to save him from falling to his death.
