HE BOUGHT 10 copies of The New Paper on Monday because he “had a feeling”.

And that instinct paid off handsomely yesterday.

Mr Tay Siong Giam, 65, a taxi driver, won $4,000 in the TNP Bingo game.

“I had a feeling that I would win and it turned out to be true,” he said.

He buys a copy of TNP every day, just before starting his shift.

But on Monday, Mr Tay had a feeling that he would win, so he bought 10 copies.

The original cash prize was $2,000, but was doubled to $4,000 because of TNP’s 24th anniversary.

To play, readers need to get a Bingo card, which is attached to the front cover of The New Paper every Monday.

Each copy of the newspaper will have a card with a unique sequence of numbers. The card will be valid for that week only.

From Tuesday to Sunday, 10 random numbers from one to 99 will appear each day in the paper.

If any of the numbers from the same week appears on your card, mark it down. A vertical column (from top to bottom) of matching numbers on the card entitles you to the prize shown on top of that column.

Prizes must be claimed by 9pm on the same day and can be collected from the Circulation Division at 82, Genting Lane, Media Centre, Level 2.
