THE by-election campaign is now past the halfway mark and there is no let up in the fight for Hougang.

Yesterday, PAP’s candidate Desmond Choo (above) responded to Workers’ Party chief Low Thia Khiang’s claims.

Mr Low had said that Mr Choo’s election manifesto listed social welfare programmes that were already part of the Government’s ongoing assistance schemes.

Mr Choo said the development of Hougang was not just about the hardware but also the software, and listed his call to get young people more involved in forging the ward’s future as an example of his software plans.
