
It fell from the train tracks above, nearly striking his customer on the head.
When the restaurant manager walked out to see what it was, he saw a yellow-coloured claw-shaped metal piece lying in the middle of the road.
The manager, who is in his 20s, said: “The customer came in during lunch time, around 1pm, and told me that something fell in front of him.
“He was shocked but he wasn’t hurt. We informed security after that.”
An SMRT spokesman confirmed the incident, which happened around 1.20pm yesterday. The 10cm-piece fell off tracks running past the TradeHub 21office buildings along Boon Lay Way.
